The hemp plant, a controversial and stigmatized plant in the past, is much more than it’s made out to be. From it, you can derive different products, from health and beauty products down to industrial products.

In fact, you’d be pleasantly surprised at some of the products that can you can get out of hemp.

Although the legality of hemp in several states and countries remains a grey area, the fact is that the hemp products have penetrated diverse market points, and they don’t seem ready to back out.

Here’s a list of hemp-based products and how to use them.

1. Beauty And Skincare

Here are some of the common beauty and skincare hemp-based products:

Hemp Cream

Hemp cream is usually extracted from the stem and leaves of the hemp plant, but at times, extracts from the roots are also used. The hemp cream offers a rich mineral content.

It may help treat skin problems like atopic dermatitis, acne, eczema, strawberry skin, etc. It’s also believed to possess anti-aging properties to prevent wrinkles.

The hemp cream may also be used as a massaging cream as hemp is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed oil is made directly from the plant’s seeds, making it “one of nature’s most perfectly balanced oil”.

It’s a common dietary application that’s considered to be a great source of vitamin A and E and includes minerals such as sulfur, magnesium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, and zinc.

It is notable for its skincare properties, as it also helps promote healthy hair and nails. There are two types of hemp seed oil in the market.

One type can be ingested, while the other type (topical) can only be applied on the skin’s surface.

2. Food Products

Check out some of the most popular food products derived from hemp:

Hemp Seed

Hemp seed is the most popular way of using hemp because of its nutritional value and health benefits. They are mostly compared to chia and flax seeds as superfoods.

Hemp seed is also easily digested and contains essential fatty made acids like omega-3 and omega-6, which helps boost the immune system.

It may also help maintain the cholesterol level of the body. Hemp seeds help promote fast healing. They’re also a great protein source, especially for those who don’t like animal proteins like vegetarians.

Hemp Juice

Hemp juice is obtained through a large-scale industrial cold-pressing procedure using the hemp plant’s upperparts and leaves. It’s a non-psychoactive juice made from industrial hemp.
