Avoiding side effects and irritation: how to achieve professional waxing results in 8 simple steps

Category : Beauty

Nothing feels quite as nice as having smooth, freshly waxed skin. However, getting this smooth feeling requires some knowledge and a bit of advice.

While waxing is popular, it can also be expensive if a person opts to have the professionals handle this for them.

Unfortunately, there are few who know how to achieve professional waxing results without irritation and side effects.

1. Purchase a Quality Home Waxing Kit

While it may be a surprise, not all home waxing kits are the same. This is a situation of “you get what you pay for”. The cheapest kits aren’t going to get the job done. Waxing isn’t something that just tickles.

It’s important to buy a waxing kit that will ensure the job is done right the first time. No one wants to have to keep reapplying to the same spot.

If the hair is still too short, the individual should consider using another removal method or allow it to grow out a bit more.

3. Check the Wax’s Temperature

Unless an individual has opted to use cold wax strips, it’s a good idea to carefully check the temperature of the hot wax before applying it to their skin. If the wax is too hot, it can be very painful and leave burn marks on the skin.

It’s best to use a thermometer and be sure the wax is between 125 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. If the wax isn’t hot enough, it won’t work…
