One of the best parts of owning a grill is the ability to use it to prepare food for your friends and family.
Often, the grill will become a natural meeting place, as the flavors of the food waft through the party.
However, it can be difficult to know what recipes you should try cooking on your grill. To help provide you with some inspiration for your next meal, let’s look at five of the best recipes that use grilled bacon.
1. Candied Bacon Cinnamon Roll
Whether you want to use it as a snack, or as a tasty breakfast item, you will enjoy this delicious candied bacon cinnamon roll.
Let’s take a look at how it’s made. First, you need to place the bacon onto the grill and brush it lightly with maple syrup.
Next, sprinkle the bacon with a quarter cup of brown sugar and move it to a roasting pan. Leave the bacon in the roasting pan for 10 to 15 minutes, or until it’s browned.
Next, place the cinnamon roll dough onto the grill in long, thin strips. Make sure to leave plenty of space between each line of dough.
Remove the browned bacon from the roasting pan and lay it next to the cinnamon roll. Then, roll up the bacon and the cinnamon roll together. Once complete, this should resemble a scroll.
To cook the rolls, place them into a sheet pan, and put the sheet pan on top of the roasting pan. This will ensure that the heat is evenly distributed, preventing the bottom of the roll from burning.
Finally, leave them to cook under a covered grill for around 15 minutes. They are ready to eat when the cinnamon dough has turned flaky.
Though this recipe is perfect by itself, you can add some other elements to it to make it even nicer. For example, you can cook some eggs and meat to create a burger, using the cinnamon rolls as the bread.
Alternatively, you can drizzle some left-over maple sauce over the rolls, to give them more flavor.
2. Bacon-Wrapped Chicken
For many people, chicken is one of their favorite foods. However, you can make it taste even better by wrapping it in bacon.
To do this, place a quarter cup of brown sugar and a quarter of a cup of soy sauce into a bowl and mix them together.
Add three teaspoons of vegetable oil into the bowl along with some garlic powder, onion powder, and ground cinnamon to help season the sauce.
Combine all these ingredients together to make the sauce. The next step is to wrap the bacon around the pieces of chicken.
To make sure that the bacon strips don’t come undone, ensure that the ends are overlapping. Next, brush the sauce over the bacon-wrapped chicken. Once this is done, you’re ready to…
